Atkins Diet

Lots of weight loss diets suggest that those who wish to lose weight should give up fat food for the sake of carbohydrate one. But being on the Atkins Diet you should do quite the opposite. Before you start the diet:

  1. Stop taking any pills;

I. Induction Phase

During the induction phase of the diet, you need restrict and minimize your carbohydrate intake which will make calories be burned rapidly. Remember that you can get not more than 20 grams of carbohydrates each day, eating only green, non-starchy vegetables as a source of carbs. II. Weight Loss Phase

This phase helps you keep losing weight but this process is not as rapid as before. You are allowed to increase gradually carbohydrate intake each week by 5 grams. III. Pre-Maintenance Phase

IV. Lifetime Maintenance

At this stage you can stay in when your weight loss goal has been achieved. You can get the amount of carbohydrates that does not make you gain weight.
